2nd CTY Cup International Guppy & Plecostomus Contest (Year 2019)

2nd CTY Cup International Guppy & Plecostomus Contest is an International Contest which organized from 21st to 23rd June 2019 at 1st Floor Auditorium, Chew Thean Yeang Aquatic and Pet, Burma Road. Compare with last year, Plecostomus Contest had been added and it was being the first time organizing in Malaysia.

 

Objective:

  1. Act as a platform for all Guppy and Plecostomus lovers to gather and share their experience.
  2. Exchange new strain of guppy and Plecostomus from other countries and create awareness for guppy and Plecostomus as an export ornamental fish.
  3. Educate public the correct way of keeping pure strain guppy and Plecostomus and promote it as a hobby in the region.

Class 2: Hypancistrus (L46, L333, L236, L201, L260 & etc.)
Class 3: Peckoltia & Panaqolus (L134, L397, L204 & etc.)
Class 4: Others (below 30cm) (L48, L200, L56, L144 & etc.)

 

It’s been honoured to announced that Winner of “Best of Show” was Mr Jacky Lau who come from Sarawak, Malaysia. His guppy fish which under “Half Black Delta” category had won the “Best of Show Award” and “Top Breeder Ranking”. While, Winner of “The Best of Female” was Panumas who come from Thailand.

 

In order to sharing the experience, two presenter had been invited to having a Seminar Talk during the event. The two presenters are Yoshio Hajiri, come from Japan and Mr. Clement Lim, come from Malaysia. In addition, judge had been invited to a Guppy Farm Exploration, in order for them to explore Malaysian style Guppy Farm and activate the interaction between fish hobbyists. 

 


This event was run smoothly and it's been our pleasure to get support from Jabatan Perikanan Pulau Pinang, Jabatan Perkhidmatan Kuarantin dan Pemeriksaan Malaysia (MAQIS) Negeri Pulau Pinang, Penang State Tourism Development and Culture, Tetra, BrandNew Banner Shop, all of the Judges, Reporters and etc.
